What I’m *really* doing today
Spoiler alert: it ain’t no Selling Sunset
Not gonna lie… It took me a while to pluck up the courage to reshare this video because let’s face it, my life sure as heck ain’t no Selling Sunset! I mean, most days I’m nothing like “Instagram-worthy”…
We’ve got baby Stasik home all day with us too, so I’m lucky to get little office visits like the one pictured above.
I’ll leave it to you to decide how glamorous you think that ^^ is (personally, I’m thrilled!)
In reality, I’ve usually just got my head down, developing and leading go-to-market strategies for some INCREDIBLE new data and AI products like Jan AI. (Jan AI is a really cool open-source ChatGPT alternative that runs 100% offline on your computer… you can check it out here.)
You know, I get asked ALL the time though: “Lillian, what does your day-to-day life look like these days?”
And truth is, working in data science has given me the flexibility to work from anywhere and be able to spend quality time with my family and friends.
I can block out chunks of my day to head to the beach or get my sweat on in the gym. My work fits around me!
… and I know that lots of people in our community want to figure out how to start a career in the world of data while keeping family and friends in focus, too.
